As part of the natural decomposition process, microbes break down the compounds in animal waste and produce carbon-based gases.  Unless they are captured, these gases, which contribute to global warming, escape into the atmosphere.

BioEnergy Solutions puts the work of these microbes to good use.  Manure is collected in a holding area, which is sealed to create an anaerobic (oxygen-free) atmosphere that accelerates and increases the bacterial activity.  The methane gas produced by the natural digestive process of these microbes is collected and “scrubbed” to create renewable natural gas that power plants use to produce electricity.

Ours is a “technology neutral” approach, which means that we offer different methods to produce the desired results.  We look closely at the operations of each farmer or food processor and design a system that works best for them rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.  We install, operate and maintain the system at our expense, then share revenues from the sale of gas and carbon credits with the farmer.
